Fishing

The River bandon rises in the Shehy Mountains near Dunmanway and flows down past Ballineen, Enniskeane, through the centre of Bandon and along to Innishannon entering the sea at Kinsale harbour.  It is about 75km in length and is well known for its first class sea trout, salmon and brown trout fishing.  Fishing permits can be purchased in Bandon from the Bandon Anglers Association.  Some other useful websites about fishing in Bandon include Guided Fly Fishing and Fly Fishing in Cork.
